Summer Choreographic Workshop
ABOUT | The artÉmotion Summer Intensive and Ballet West Academy are thrilled to announce a Choreographic Workshop offered at the Peggy Bergmann Ballet West Academy, Park City Campus. Dedicated students, ages 16-25, will begin each day with a technique class followed by in depth training with one of our head choreographers creating a world premiere work. The three pieces created will be presented at an in-studio performance at the Jessie Eccles Quinney Ballet Centre, home of Ballet West, Saturday, June 24th, 2017.
In addition to the in-studio performance opportunity, Ballet West Principal, Christopher Ruud, will be selecting one piece to be performed with his performance company, RUUDDANCES, at the Utah Arts Festival, June 23rd, 2017. Students cast in the selected piece will have the opportunity to share the stage with Ballet West Company members. artÉmotion and Ballet West are very pleased to offer this unique opportunity.
Students accepted into this program by audition will be considered by Ballet West Artistic Director and CEO, Adam Sklute, for the Ballet West AcademyProfessional Training Division, therefore, acceptance into the Choreographic Workshop requires participation in the full Ballet West summer intensive.
